AIG underwriting teams develop insurance solutions across Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, Multinational Clients, and High Net Worth individuals. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Performing highly technical, complex assignments within your area of expertise.
  2. Providing technical guidance to management, less senior specialists, underwriters, producers, and claims personnel.
  3. Accepting, declining, or modifying new and renewal submissions, identifying exposures, analyzing coverage policies, and managing a book of business, including participating in budget formulation.
  4. Establishing business production goals and submission flow strategies.
  5. Collaborating with Distribution, Territory Managers, and other underwriters to target desirable accounts and cross-sell opportunities, while enhancing service quality.
  6. Developing and implementing pricing strategies, deal structures, and negotiations with brokers and clients, maintaining risk quality and alignment with Onshore Energy strategy.
  7. Reviewing and recommending modifications to underwriting guidelines.
  8. Participating in special underwriting projects.
  9. Building and maintaining strong relationships with brokers and clients to grow a profitable book of business.
  10. Providing superior customer service and drafting manuscript endorsements for legal approval, if necessary.
  11. Managing and guiding a team of underwriters, providing mentorship and oversight.

Qualifications for success:

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Deep knowledge of Onshore Energy insurance products, including features, forms, regulations, and risks.
  • Experience in sales, marketing, and relationship management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, and adaptable to dynamic environments.
  • Willingness to learn, flexible, and proactive.
  • Comfort with analytical tools and technology.
