This is an outstanding opportunity to advance your career within our Global Corporate and Specialty Risk (GCS) division. As a Senior Casualty Underwriting Specialist, you will be leading underwriting for large corporate accounts and complex mid-market primary or monoline excess/umbrella casualty. Your focus and responsibility will be to analyze and underwrite new and renewal business while working closely with brokers and clients. The role includes client/broker facing responsibilities while working under a national mandate for the continued development of the GCS business unit.

What You'll Do
- Analyze and underwrite new and renewal business, ensuring both top-line growth and profitability.
- Develop and uphold positive relationships with brokers and clients to achieve favorable results for Aviva, brokers, and customers.
- Provide responsive, comprehensive service to our customers and brokers.
- Navigate and maintain records in Salesforce with flawless accuracy.
- Coordinate and communicate account details with other product line underwriters.
- Adhere strictly to risk and control procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate potential issues.
What You'll Bring
- 15+ years of technical commercial lines business experience.
- An established presence in the Toronto insurance market among brokers and risk managers.
- Proven marketing and relationship-building skills with both internal and external partners.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong negotiating abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the capacity to make impactful decisions.
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- A professional attitude and a dedication to improving the broker/customer experience.
- Proficiency in data analytics would be a valuable asset.
