Insight Global is seeking a Senior Underwriting Consultant, Large Case to join one of our leading insurance clients. This role is tailored for an experienced Life Underwriter who specializes in large-case underwriting and acts as a trusted advisor on complex, high-value business.

You will underwrite complex individual life applications, including high-net-worth and corporate-owned cases, and collaborate with advisors, reinsurers, and internal stakeholders to assess risk and craft solutions that

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Individual Life underwriting experience.
• Large case/high-net-worth underwriting with $5M-$10M+ signing authority.
• University degree and/or FALU, FLMI, or similar underwriting designation.
• Strong financial underwriting experience (corporate ownership, financing, premium financing).
• 70+ age underwriting authority.
• Mentoring, coaching, or informal leadership experience.
• Bilingual (French/English).

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex individual life insurance applications, including high-net-worth and corporate-owned cases.
• Partner with advisors, MGAs, reinsurers, and internal stakeholders to evaluate medical and financial risk.
• Structure solutions for sophisticated client situations, and drive retention outcomes.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on large-case underwriting and related client relationships.

In this role, you will be responsible for underwriting complex individual life insurance applications, including high-net-worth and corporate-owned cases. You will partner closely with advisors, MGAs, reinsurers, and internal stakeholders to evaluate medical and financial risk, structure solutions for sophisticated client situations, and drive retention outcomes. The ideal candidate brings significant large case experience, strong signing authority, and a desire to continue growing within the life underwriting discipline.
