Job summary

Intact Financial Corporation in Montreal is seeking a Senior Bonding Analyst for our Cautionnement department. You will manage a portfolio of bonding files for mid-sized and large contractors and support growth.

Qualifications

  • University degree with specialization in accounting, administration and/or finance.
  • Holding a professional designation (CPA, CGA or CMA) or CFA is an asset.
  • 4–6 years of experience in bonding, accounting, administration or finance.
  • Strong analytical, synthesis and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of the bonding industry and/or construction is an asset.
  • Ability to develop excellent client relationships.
  • Team orientation and leadership mindset.
  • Organizational, commercial sense, meticulous, autonomy and initiative.
  • Excellent written and spoken French.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) – interaction with colleagues nationwide.
  • No prior Canada work experience required, but authorization to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of bonding files generally for mid-size to large contractors.
  • Analyze and authorize bonding requests per analyst authority and procedures; prepare documentation and present to reinsurers when required.
  • Conduct annual reviews, risk analyses and financial updates to set bonding limits.
  • Organize meetings with brokers and contractors; build business relationships; participate in industry events.
  • Communicate and negotiate terms and conditions of bonding files.
  • Contribute to business development by prospecting and identifying opportunities.
  • Analyse new bonding dossiers per procedures.
  • Demonstrate leadership by coaching team members, brokers and contractors.
  • Handle payments and claims with indemnification services.
  • Take on special projects.

Salary range (but not limited to):

94,200 - 115,200

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

LIEU DE TRAVAIL : Montréal (2020 Robert-Bourassa)

LE RÔLE:

Sous la supervision du Directeur Cautionnement et en collaboration avec les membres de l’équipe, vous gérez un portefeuille d’entrepreneurs œuvrant principalement en construction en ce qui a trait à leurs besoins de cautionnement. En fait, votre rôle au sein de l’équipe consistera principalement à:

  • Gérer un portefeuille de dossiers cautionnement généralement constitué d’entrepreneurs de moyenne et grande envergure;

  • Analyser et autoriser les demandes de cautionnement selon l’autorité de l’analyste et des procédures en place. Préparer la documentation et faire des recommandations pour les projets importants, incluant les présentations aux réassureurs, si requises;

  • Procéder aux révisions annuelles, analyses de risque et mises à jour financières des dossiers entrepreneurs pour l'établissement les limites de cautionnements;

  • Organiser des rencontres avec les courtiers et les entrepreneurs. Consolider les relations d’affaires. Participer à des évènements de l’industrie de la construction et du cautionnement;

  • Communiquer et négocier les termes et conditions des dossiers entrepreneurs;

  • Contribuer aux objectifs de développements des affaires en faisant de la prospection et en identifiant les occasions d’affaires;

  • Analyser les nouveaux dossiers cautionnement présentés conformément aux procédures en place;

  • Démontrer son leadership en offrant des conseils techniques, formation et coaching aux membres de l’équipe, aux courtiers et aux entrepreneurs;

  • Gérer les demandes de paiements des fournisseurs et/ou réclamations des bénéficiaires en collaboration avec le service d’indemnisation;

  • Prendre en charge et participer à des projets spéciaux;

Qualifications:
  • Obtention d’un diplôme universitaire, avec spécialisation en comptabilité, administration et/ou finance

  • Détenir un titre comptable (CPA, CGA ou CMA) ou CFA, un atout

  • Minimum de 4 à 6 ans d'expérience en cautionnement, comptabilité, administration et/ou finance

  • Excellente capacité d'analyse, de synthèse et de prise de décision

  • Connaissance de l’industrie du cautionnement et/ou de la construction, un atout

  • Habiletés à développer d’excellentes relations d’affaires personnalisées

  • Être orienté vers le client, les résultats et les solutions

  • Esprit d’équipe et de leadership

  • Sens de l'organisation, des affaires (négociation), minutie, autonomie et initiative

  • Connaissance de la suite Office

  • Excellente maitrise du français écrit et parlé

  • Bilinguisme (français et anglais) - Nécessité d’interagir sur une base régulière avec des collègues partout au pays

  • Aucune expérience de travail au Canada requise, mais nécessité d’avoir l’autorisation de travailler au Canada
