This role involves underwriting and managing accounts, developing new business, and fostering broker relationships. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience in related fields, strong analytical and communication abilities, and a self-motivated approach. This position requires both on-site and remote work and involves some travel.

The Senior Underwriter, Cyber & Technology will act within established guidelines and market to analyze, review, evaluate and monitor new and renewal accounts for our Middle Market ($50M to $2B), and Large Complex (revenues greater than $2B) accounts. Senior Underwriters exercise independent judgment in processing accounts and manage underwriting activities.
Candidate Profile
Senior Underwriter, Cyber & Technology will be a “hands-on” technical expert with a history of success within a top-tier Commercial Insurance Carrier focused on building a book of Cyber, Technology E&O, Media & Entertainment Middle Market ($50M to $2B), and Large Complex (revenues greater than $2B) accounts.
Candidates will have deep contacts within Cyber broker channels retail and full life cycle exposure to portfolio management across; solicitation of submissions, underwriting analysis, preparing, and issuing indications / quotations / binders, and marketing.
Additionally, the candidate must have an executive presence, demonstrating success in communicating, influencing, and building solid relationships that add value to the AXIS book of business and contribute to longer-term strategic initiatives.
Work Profile
From our office in Toronto above Kelly’s Landing at 123 Front St. W, you'll remotely work two days a week, and be on on-site for three days. Maintaining close ties with brokers and clients, as well as actively engaging in industry and company functions, will necessitate some travel.
