We are seeking an individual to support the development and maintenance of a profitable portfolio through marketing, analysis, sales, service, and underwriting.

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Vice President, Canada West, this position involves supporting the development of a profitable portfolio of desirable business, adhering to company guidelines and authorities.

What you'll be doing:

• Underwrite and service a growing book of business, including risk selection, coverage negotiation, and pricing on new and renewable business.
• Review and process changes on existing accounts to ensure compliance with policy conditions and underwriting philosophy.
• Identify, analyze, and develop new business sources; assist in marketing strategies for new or improved products.
• Partner with peers across product lines to leverage opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with broker clients through regular engagement at industry events.
• Mentor junior team members on underwriting, marketing, and servicing techniques.
• Maintain awareness of market trends, industry knowledge, and insurance developments.

Our must haves:

• 7+ years’ property and casualty underwriting experience.
• Experience with complex risk underwriting across P&C lines, including Professional Lines and Cyber.
• Proven ability to underwrite large to multinational corporations, especially in Property, Casualty, and Excess lines.
• University degree; CIP or FCIP designation preferred.
• Deep understanding of policy wordings, forms, and coverages.
• Strong relationship management skills and a track record of generating new business.
• Excellent administrative, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong business acumen and external representation skills.

Compensation: The salary range is $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience.
