Job summary

AMC Consultants is seeking a Principal Mining Engineer to join our Underground team in Canada or North America. You will lead technical delivery across underground projects, develop reports, and manage risk and QA across pre-feasibility to closure phases, while strengthening client relationships and team capabilities.

The role requires a minimum of 15 years in underground mining with a strong technical focus, a bachelor’s degree in mining engineering, and demonstrated independent work plus

• Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering is required.
• Minimum 15 years of underground mining experience with strong technical focus.
• Ability to work independently and lead project teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience delivering reports and client-facing deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Contribute strong technical expertise across underground mining methods.
• Provide consulting support and practical engineering solutions.
• Project manage assignments across disciplines when necessary.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
• Deliver high-quality reports, presentations and project documentation.
