WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Global Functions Technology (GFT) is part of RBC’s Technology and Operations division. GFT’s impact is far-reaching as we collaborate with partners from across the company to deliver innovative and transformative IT solutions. As Senior TSA in HR & CLAO - Payroll & Finance Technology, you will coordinate and manage production support activities for HR & CLAO - Payroll & Finance Technology systems and related subsystems to ensure the integrity of computer-generated data. Will apply experience and seasoned knowledge, skills, and practices to perform a variety of assignments.
Responsibilities
- Key Responsibilities:
- Support for the SAP Finance / Controlling modules, including Accounts Payable, Financial Accounting and Controlling processes and procedures.
- Support for HR Payroll Financials, Third Party and Net Pay processes and procedures.
- Analyze and resolve financial data discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders as the SME and with the Development team to ensure designs are accurate and conduct thorough testing when required, ensuring financial processes and procedures leverage SAP best practices.
- Provide support and training to end-users on SAP Finance/Controlling modules and HR Payroll Financials, Third Party and Net Pay related processes.
- Identify and suggest process improvements, leveraging SAP functionality and industry best practices.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
- Ensure that Problem Resolution Procedures (PRP) are provided by the Development team when new initiatives go live, so Support is aware of actions to take if issues arise.
- Document job failures in Problem Resolution Procedure (PRP) documents, if they currently do not exist.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in SAP Finance, preferably in a banking or financial services environment.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting, controlling, and Payroll Financials, Third Party and Net Pay principles.
- Expertise in SAP Finance modules, including:
- Accounts Payable (FI)
- Financial Accounting (FI)
- Controlling (CO)
- Enterprise Payroll Financials, Third Party and Net Pay (EP)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and Development Teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified SAP Associate or Professional certification in SAP Finance.
- Experience with agile project management methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Nice to have SAP reporting tools, such as SAP BW, SAP HANA, or SAP Analytics Cloud.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Cloud Platform, or other cloud-based SAP solutions.
- Knowledge of banking and financial services regulations, such as SOX, GDPR, or Basel III.
