Our publicly traded mining client is a high-profile organization located in the downtown core. They are adding a Senior Treasury Analyst to the Finance team and are seeking candidates with a few years of Treasury experience, ideally from the mining sector, but open to other industries.

The Senior Treasury Analyst will be responsible for a broad range of finance and treasury activities and will be a valued member of a small Treasury team. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting day-to-day treasury operations, including liquidity monitoring, cash management, yield generation, and bank account and credit instrument administration.
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly treasury reports, financial reports, covenant reports, and ensuring compliance with key debt facilities.
  • Participating in and assisting with precious metals purchases, sales, and hedging programs with large financial institutions.
  • Supporting the Assistant Treasurer in managing relationships with key treasury counterparties, including banks, credit rating agencies, financing companies, and data providers.
  • Providing analysis to support global capital raising initiatives.
  • Performing financial modeling to inform decisions related to budgets, accounting, M&A, and other special projects.
  • Assisting in maintaining and improving global treasury policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Contributing to special projects within the Treasury department.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • 2-5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Professional designation (CPA or CFA) preferred or progress toward one.
