Job summary

R.V. Anderson Associates Limited is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead transportation design efforts in Barrie, Ontario. You will guide preliminary and final designs for major road projects, ensure compliance with TAC/MTO standards, and mentor junior staff.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, a P.Eng designation in Ontario, and 15+ years of related experience, with proficiency in Civil3D, InRoads, AutoCAD and MicroStation. Collaboration with clients and stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• University Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 15+ years’ experience in transportation project design.
• Active P.Eng designation in Ontario.
• Proficient in transportation and municipal design.
• Experience with grade separations, HOV and BRT lanes; storm water management is a plus.
• Rail infrastructure experience with Metrolinx, CN, CP is a plus.
• Knowledge of Canadian Railway Operating Rules is a plus.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead preliminary and final designs for major road projects.
• Develop designs satisfying approval agencies.
• Oversee design drawings using Civil3D and InRoads.
• Prepare tender documents, reports and specs.
• Coordinate with staff and subconsultants across multiple projects.
