Job Title: Senior Training Specialist
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Start Date: April 28, 2025
Contract Duration: Until March 31, 2026 (with possible extension)

Position Overview:

The Client is seeking an experienced Senior Training Specialist to lead the development and delivery of comprehensive training programs for the Emergency Health Services Telephony Project. This role involves training over 1,000 Ambulance Communication Officers across 21 Communication Centres in Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and deliver training sessions on systems such as Komutel – Avaya Telephony, Geomant Dashboard, CMS reporting, and Automatic Call Distribution.
  2. Create tailored training plans and materials for each Communication Centre.
  3. Evaluate training effectiveness and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  4. Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate EHPMDB processes into training content.
  5. Support staff during the transition to new telephony solutions, including go-live and post-implementation phases.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Trainer, preferably in OPS, Land Ambulance Dispatch Centers, or Paramedic Services.
  2. Proficiency in telecom and dispatch systems.
  3. Familiarity with paramedic practices and ambulance dispatch operations.
  4. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  5. Valid Ontario Class G driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the province.
