What is the opportunity?

As a Senior Trade Finance Specialist, you will develop and execute sales strategies to grow revenue from a portfolio of commercial clients by offering Trade Finance Solutions. You will provide a differentiated client experience by focusing on the client’s business and financial goals to foster relationships, loyalty, and innovation. You will also enable clients to leverage digital solutions and identify opportunities to deepen client relationships through referrals to partners and specialists.

What will you do?

  1. Demonstrate client stewardship and care in all activities.
  2. Engage effectively with clients, addressing immediate needs, providing advice, and facilitating digital enablement.
  3. Follow practice management routines for sales, market and portfolio planning, and client interactions.
  4. Understand the client’s financial position, industry, business model, management capabilities, and repayment ability.
  5. Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients to meet sales and revenue targets.
  6. Utilize technology tools (e.g., synergy, CPM, Pipeline Report, OLMS, Newton) to maintain data integrity and documentation.
  7. Prioritize client and market activities, seek referral opportunities within the team and partners.
  8. Exercise due diligence on transactions, understanding client details, credit structure, risks, and strategies.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • At least two years of Commercial Credit Experience.
  • Experience with Trade Finance Products.
  • Ability to create an exceptional client experience and deepen relationships.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Trade Finance Certification.
  • Bilingual skills in English and French.
