Job summary

Intact is seeking a Senior Security Advisor (Threat Modeller) to join our growing security team in Canada. You will lead structured threat modelling efforts for applications and architectures, identify risk paths, and translate results into concrete security requirements and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent education/experience.
• Minimum 10 years in IT with at least 5 years in information security.
• Strong knowledge of information security management principles and practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform structured threat modelling (STRIDE, MITRE ATT&CK, kill chain, attack trees, misuse/abuse cases) for apps, systems, and architectures.
• Work with DFDs and architecture diagrams for new and existing systems.
• Identify assets, trust boundaries, entry points, and potential attack paths.
• Assess likelihood/impact and assign inherent and residual risk ratings.
• Translate threat modelling outcomes into security requirements and controls; document gaps and track remediation.
• Collaborate with product, architects, developers and engineers to review designs for security implications.
• Integrate threat modelling into SDLC/Agile workflows across the organization.
• Participate in secure code reviews to support security requirements and mitigations.
• Plan and facilitate threat modelling workshops.
• Communicate risks clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to improving threat modelling methodologies, templates and tooling.
• Support incident response and post-incident reviews by mapping paths back to models.
