Creation Technologies International Inc is seeking a Senior Engineering Tech to lead complex test projects, mentor production and engineering staff, and optimize on-plant manufacturing processes on the Burnaby site.

Ideal candidates will have extensive electronics manufacturing expertise, strong leadership, and hands-on experience with test equipment, LabVIEW, and lean methods to drive innovations on the production floor.

• 8+ years of progressive experience in electronics manufacturing.
• College Diploma (2 Year) with electronics and manufacturing coursework.

Aufgaben

• Performs advanced Test engineering tasks and activities under the direction of Test Engineering team and optimizes test procedures.
• Assists the test engineering team with development and implementation of test strategies aligned to product specs and customer requirements.
• Develops and maintains detailed documentation for test procedures ensuring reproducibility and compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.
• Reviews and improves strategies for maintenance of test solutions ensuring manufacturability and alignment with product specs.
• Participates in troubleshooting and calibration of test equipment including new setups to ensure repeatable outputs and reliability.
• Coordinates with Production test engineering teams to integrate testing requirements early in the introduction process for comprehensive coverage.

As a subject matter expert role in Creation Technologies, the Senior Engineering Tech leads complex design projects in engineering, drives innovation, and ensures compliance with highest quality and compliance standards. This senior position requires extensive technical knowledge, leadership in solving technical problems, and a tactical approach to enhancing plant manufacturing processes. The role is central to mentoring Production and engineering techs and fostering a culture of excellence. It’s designed for experienced professionals aiming to leverage their expertise to influence significant enhancements, optimize operations, and implement systematic improvements on the production floor

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to:

• Performs advanced Test engineering tasks and activities under the direction of Test Engineeringteam. Is an active participant in optimization of testing procedures, test station and test proceduredevelopment.
• Assists the test engineering team with the development and implementation of test strategies,ensuring alignment with product specifications and customer requirements.
• Responsible for the development and maintenance of detailed documentation for test procedures,ensuring reproducibility and compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.
• Reviews and implements strategies in the maintenance and improvement of test solutions, ensuringmanufacturability and alignment with product specifications.
• Active participant in the troubleshooting and calibration of test equipment including new testequipment setups, new equipment verification ensuring repeatable outputs and reliability.
• Coordinates with Production test engineering teams to integrate testing requirements early in theintroduction process ensuring comprehensive coverage, reliable test results and enhancing productreliability.
• Active participant in implementing innovation in test methodologies, incorporating the latesttechnologies and best practices to enhance test efficiency and effectiveness.
• Occasionally supports Production with the analysis of electronic and electromechanical assembliesto determine cause of product defect to include circuit analysis, part identification diagnosis andreplacement of defective components to bring product into specification.
• Proficient in test executables, test stand, functional test systems and LabVIEW etc.
• Analyzes defective components to determine failure cause and provide report, if necessary, forEngineering and Supply Chain corrective action.
• Read wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions for assembling electronicsunits, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Required Experience

• - College Diploma (2 Year), with relevant coursework in electronics and manufacturing processes or equivalent industry and/or military experience
• - Minimum of 8+ Years of progressive experience in electronics manufacturing, with a proven success record.

Skills Required

• - Expert-level proficiency in electronics manufacturing processes and technical problem-solving.
• - Knowledgeable about IPC 610 Standard and J-STD-001.
• - Leadership skills, with the ability to mentor, coach, and develop technical teams.
• - Strong tactical and strategic thinking, planning abilities, capable of driving innovation and process improvements.
• - Effective oral and written English communication and collaboration skills.
• - Capable of influencing decisions and presenting complex information clearly.
• - Advanced project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects and ensure optimal resource allocation.
• - Effective understanding of Lean principles, six sigma and industrial ergonomics preferred.
• - Can work effectively with PLM, MES, and CMMS systems.
• - Proficient in using Computer systems and knowledge of CAD/CAM and programming preferred.

Oher Details

• - Work Location: 100% onsite, 8999 Fraserton Court, Burnaby, BC V5J 5H8
• - Work Shift: Day, Monday to Friday (actual work schedule to be discussed with manager)
• - You need to be legally eligible to work full-time in British Columbia, Canada for any employer
• - Offer of employment contingent on successful background check

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $62,600-$75,000 CDN per year. Full-time employees are also eligible for performance-based bonuses and benefits. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, location, and shift. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on the date of hire, schedule type, and hours worked.
