Job summary

Episode Six is hiring a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to lead testing in the payments and card domains. You will review requirements, design test plans, and craft robust automation using Java and JUnit 5, while collaborating with cross-functional teams across fintech projects.

You will build and maintain automated tests, manage defect tracking, and ensure regulatory and quality compliance through scalable testing processes and metrics.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java and JUnit for test automation.
• Experience testing payments and card industry domains.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and protocols.
• Backend Java enterprise testing experience.
• Automation of REST API tests.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).
• Ability to write and validate SQL queries for DB testing.
• Business-level English communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing efforts in payments, card issuing, and revolving credit domains.
• Review requirements, specs, and designs to provide feedback.
• Create detailed test plans and test cases (JUnit 5).
• Develop and apply automated testing code and frameworks.
• Identify, document, and track defects until resolution.
• Perform comprehensive regression testing after fixes.
• Define testing processes for new and existing products.
• Track QA metrics and stay updated on testing tools.
