Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Telecommunications Solution Architect who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic.
The position is based in downtown Toronto, Ontario.
Telecommunications Solution Architect and Integration Manager responsible for the design of end-to-end communication solutions across onboard, station, wayside and control-centre environments. The scope includes PA, PIS/PVIS, APIS, ACEDIS, CCTV, IP networks, radio, telephony, intercom, access control, passenger counting, master clock and associated management and control systems.
Requirements analysis, solution architecture, system design, technical compliance and coordination with customers, operators, engineering teams, suppliers, subcontractors and other project stakeholders. Leading interface management activities across communication subsystems and external systems, including the identification, definition and documentation of functional, physical, electrical, network and software interfaces. This includes protocols, data flows, IP addressing, timing and synchronization, cybersecurity requirements, interface ownership, responsibility allocation and the preparation and maintenance of Interface Control Documents. The role also ensures design consistency, technical alignment and integration readiness across onboard, station, wayside and control‑centre domains, supporting the resolution of interface issues and technical design decisions. The scope may be extended in the future to include system integration and commissioning support.
CAD $ 119,900 to CAD$ 179,800. The current applicable Base Salary Pay Range for this role is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills relevant to the role, internal equity, alignment with market data, or other law.
