Job summary

Farm Credit Canada is seeking a Senior Technology Auditor to lead risk-based IT audits across our technology landscape. You will define audit scope, assess controls, and translate complex technical issues into clear findings for leadership.

Using Agile auditing methods, you’ll validate implementation of recommendations, mentor junior auditors, and collaborate with IT and Internal Audit to strengthen governance and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, accounting or a related field.
• Eight+ years of IT/technology audit experience.
• CISA or CIA/CPA designation or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of internal auditing practices and standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct IT risk-focused audit engagements.
• Document evidence, findings and conclusions.
• Prepare draft reports with root-cause recommendations.
• Perform follow-up testing to validate action plans.

How you’ll make an impact

Lead, plan and execute risk-based audits focused on information technology systems, and information management. As a collaborative, risk-focused Senior Technology Auditor, you’ll be instrumental in strengthening FCC’s ability to manage technology risks by defining audit scope focused on high-risk areas, determining the key controls required to mitigate those risks, and assessing its design and operating effectiveness. Using an Agile auditing methodology, you’ll translate complex technical issues into clear, actionable insights that support informed decision-making by leadership. You’ll also validate the implementation of outstanding audit recommendations and collaborate closely with IT and Internal Audit colleagues to strengthen control practices and support the organization’s strategic objectives.

What you’ll do

• Plan and conduct audit engagements focused on information technology risks
• Document appropriate audit evidence, findings and conclusions
• Prepare draft audit reports to include recommendations targeted at the root cause of the deficiency
• Conduct follow-up testing to validate that management action plans are implemented and effective
• Recommend improvements to processes and procedures to enhance audit quality
• Adhere to professional standards and best practices
• Provide coaching and mentorship to senior auditors

Required qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, accounting/commerce or a related field
• At least eight years of IT/technology audit experience
• A Certified Internal Systems Auditor (CISA) or other applicable designation (for example, CIA, CPA)
• Extensive knowledge of internal auditing practices and application of internal auditing standards
• Demonstrated capability across end-to-end audit delivery, including risk-based planning, field work/testing, clear reporting and effective stakeholder engagement
