Job Description

We are seeking a senior electrical engineering technician to join our dynamic team. The Operational and Digital Technologies team provides services across various sectors: transportation, building, infrastructure, and energy. You will participate in different stages of engineering projects, including Intelligent Transportation Systems, telecommunications, structured cabling, networking, IT infrastructure, video surveillance, and access control. Our mentoring and resources will support you in achieving CIMA+'s high standards of excellence.

Primary Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with engineers on large-scale projects
• Conduct field surveys to understand existing issues before implementing solutions
• Ensure drawings meet project requirements, standards, and practices
• Analyze problems and propose effective solutions
• Monitor electrical engineering projects
• Prepare quantity and cost estimates using established methods
• Assist in producing plans and specifications, and analyze data
• Apply quality control procedures

Qualifications

• College diploma in electrical engineering or related field
• Relevant experience in electrical engineering, telecommunications, or a cross-disciplinary area
• Good knowledge of the Québec Electrical Code
• Ability to design, prepare cost estimates, specifications, and technical reports
• Excellent planning and communication skills in French (oral and written)
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Construction site safety card (ASP)
• Knowledge of intelligent transport systems, wireless building systems, and electrical equipment (asset)
• Experience in consulting engineering (asset)
