Role description:

Our fast-growing team islooking for an Senior Architectural Contract Administrator who will play a pivotal role in overseeing the contract administration phase of projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently and in accordance with client expectations and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will hold a Degree in Architecture or a Diploma in Architectural Technology and have a minimum of 7years of relevant experience leading the contractual management of projects. The candidate will offer a robust portfolio of working drawing with details and construction documents showing an array of projects and a holistic understanding of the design process. This position requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of construction contracts and architectural processes.

Role accountabilities:

  • Lead and manage the contract administration for complex architectural projects.
  • Negotiate and review contracts with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Resolve contractual disputes and issues promptly and effectively.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure quality control.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.
  • Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff in contract administration practices.
  • Work on multiple projects at the same time

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years’ of experience in contract administration within the architectural or construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes, construction contracts, and industry standards.
  • Proven track record in managing complex projects and resolving contractual challenges.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Professional accreditation (e.g., PMP, CCCA) is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Revit is an asset.
  • Strong documentation and communication (written and verbal) and time management skills, examples may be requested
  • Knowledge of Alberta Building Code and Canadian Building Systems is expected
  • Able to work under pressure to complete work and meet deadlines
  • Strong leadership and relationship building skills with an ability to direct junior staff to produce presentation, construction, and construction administration documents.
  • Ability to develop and test architectural solutions at various scales

The salary range for this position is CAD89,600 - CAD$115,000. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
