Job Description Summary

STEMCELL Technologies is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to join our Research and Development team, supporting our mission of “Scientists Helping Scientists”. This role involves preparing and reviewing life science product information for customer-facing materials such as product information sheets (PIS), user manuals, and website content. As a key team representative and subject matter expert, you will lead projects including poster generation and abstract review, utilizing your scientific knowledge and attention to detail to assist our global and internal customers.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Create and maintain technical documents with clear, concise language to communicate complex scientific information, ensuring timely delivery of PIS for product launches.
2. Lead abstract review and poster generation processes, ensuring high-quality scientific posters are delivered promptly, and coordinate peer reviews of external-facing product information.
3. Review and manage scientific reports supporting corporate budget activities.
4. Maintain and curate the database, ensuring files are up-to-date, accurate, and internally consistent.
5. Collaborate with scientists, product managers, and stakeholders to finalize documentation through approval processes.
6. Mentor junior team members by reviewing their work and providing guidance.

Knowledge and Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in life sciences with 6-10 years of scientific writing or research experience; technical writing certification is a plus.
2. Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
3. Proficient in proofreading and editing various document types, with a portfolio or examples recommended.
4. Experience with Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Microsoft Office, Google tools; scientific poster creation experience is desirable.
5. Experience with databases or product information management systems is an asset.
