The Opportunity

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER, SITE ASSESSMENT AND REMEDIATION

WSP’s Environment group is seeking a Senior Project Manager for our Site Assessment and Remediation team in the Southwest Ontario Business Unit, specifically in Windsor and Sarnia. This engineering consultant role involves driving business and managing projects across Southwest Ontario.

What you will do at WSP

  • Manage client relationships effectively, develop new business through marketing and client engagement;
  • Prepare technical and financial proposals for internal and external clients;
  • Manage multiple projects with strict budget controls;
  • Ensure high-quality technical work, including field methodologies, reporting, and client deliverables;
  • Collaborate across disciplines within WSP on multi-faceted projects;
  • Promote continuous improvement via coaching and guidance;
  • Create a positive work environment;
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal, leadership, and management skills for effective communication across the business;
  • Uphold Health and Safety standards and procedures.

What you bring to WSP

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Geosciences, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, or related field;
  • Senior industry experience in Site Assessment and Remediation, including ESAs, risk assessment, remediation, Records of Site Conditions, and soil and groundwater management;
  • P.Eng/P.Geo and/or Qualified Person under Ontario Regulation 153/04 are preferred;
  • Passion for environmental engineering or geoscience, with enthusiasm for business development, project management, and leadership in Southwest Ontario (Windsor, Sarnia);
  • Expertise across multiple disciplines, with confidence to coordinate with internal teams;
  • Proven success in client and project management;
  • Knowledge of local market is advantageous;
  • Self-motivated, energetic, organized, and adaptable;
  • Excellent communication skills in English;
  • Ability to work independently and respond effectively to changing priorities;
  • Experience with industrial clients and advanced remediation technologies is a plus.
