Job summary

WSP in Canada seeks a Senior Technical Manager, Bridges and Civil Structures to lead multidisciplinary teams on major infrastructure projects in Ontario. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering; P.Eng. licensed in Ontario.
  • 10–20 years of bridge engineering experience including leadership.
  • Experience with CAN/CSA‑S6 standards and structural analysis software.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver complex bridge and transportation structures across Ontario.
  • Oversee inspections, rehabilitation strategies, and construction support.
  • Introduce advanced methodologies and digital tools to optimize outcomes.

As a Senior Technical Manager, Bridges and Civil Structures, you will lead multidisciplinary teams, influence strategic decisions, and deliver excellence on projects that define mobility for generations. From highways and rail to pedestrian bridges and unique structures, your expertise will leave a lasting impact.

Your Impact
  • Design and deliver complex bridge and transportation structures that enhance safety and connectivity across Ontario
  • Oversee inspections, rehabilitation strategies, and construction support to ensure quality and compliance
  • Drive innovation by introducing advanced methodologies and digital solutions to optimize project outcomes
  • Mentor and inspire emerging engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and technical excellence
  • Represent WSP in client engagements, industry committees, and thought leadership initiatives
The Skills That Set You Apart
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario, with a bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s or PhD preferred.
  • 10–20 years of experience in bridge engineering, including leadership on major transportation projects
  • Expertise in structural analysis software (e.g., CSIBridge, MIDAS) and advanced knowledge of CAN/CSA‑S6 standards
  • Proven track record in Design‑Build/P3 projects and familiarity with MTO CPS/HICO and BIM tools
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to develop proposals, manage budgets, and deliver client value

Compensation
  • BC, AB, SK, NWT & NU: $162,200 – $212,200
  • MB & ON: $148,000 – $198,000
  • Atlantic Provinces & QC: $146,500 – $194,600
