Technical Excellence. Exceptional Design. Help Shape the Firm's Technical Future.
Our client is an award winning Vancouver architecture and design studio known for highly considered, contemporary work and a distinctly West Coast approach to design.
The studio works across a deliberately diverse range of project types and scales, from highly detailed custom residential and smaller architectural projects through to multifamily, mixed use, educational, civic and community work. Their portfolio has received significant recognition nationally and internationally.
Design, materiality, craft and experimentation are central to the practice. The studio is highly collaborative and hands on, with a strong belief that exceptional technical execution is fundamental to great architecture.
As the firm continues to grow, they are looking for an experienced technical professional to work alongside leadership and help strengthen and develop the technical side of the practice.
This is not simply a senior production role.
You will become a key technical resource within the studio, bringing deep expertise in construction documentation, detailing, building assemblies and constructability.
A major focus will be helping leadership develop a stronger technical department, including documentation standards, QA/QC, detailing resources, technical processes and mentorship across the team.
The ideal person brings an interesting combination of experience: a strong portfolio of smaller scale, highly detailed and design driven architecture, together with experience delivering larger, technically complex projects, particularly institutional work.
You understand the precision and craft required on smaller projects, but also the coordination, documentation and technical rigor required at a much larger scale.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves the technical craft of architecture, has worked in strong design environments and wants to bring that expertise into a role with real influence.
If you can move comfortably between the intricate detailing of a highly considered small scale project and the technical complexity of a major institutional project, we would love to hear from you.
