As the Regional Lead for Mine Waste Dumps & Stockpiles, you will set the strategic direction, elevate technical excellence, and grow a practice that directly impacts the safety, sustainability, and performance of mining operations across Western and Northern Canada.

Your Impact

• Lead the technical vision for mine waste dump and stockpile engineering across varied geological environments.


• Drive innovation in design, operations, monitoring, and closure planning for mine waste facilities.


• Mentor and develop emerging engineers into confident technical leaders.


• Strengthen relationships with major mining clients and industry partners across BC, Alberta, the Prairies, and Northern Canada.


• Represent WSP as a thought leader at conferences, technical committees, and industry forums.


• Author and contribute to internal practice guidance and external technical publications.


• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, sustainable, and future‑ready solutions.


• Support business growth by identifying opportunities that expand WSP’s mining footprint.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $194,700 – $257,900

MB & ON: $177,600 – $244,600

NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $175,800 – $233,500
