SENIOR TECHNICAL DESIGNER

Reports to: Technical Design Director

Permanent – Full-Time

What you will do

• Plan, design, and develop tools and pipelines for content creation, production support, and product debugging.
• Act as an ambassador by becoming a power user of these tools & processes.
• Use visual scripting language such as Blueprint.
• Streamline workflows and simplify tools for designers to act as a complexity gatekeeper.
• Build a knowledge base by providing information, training, and mentoring materials for production teams.
• Provide quick and efficient solutions for day-to-day editor problems and content creation obstacles.
• Collaborate with designers to help realize their creative visions on-screen.
• Manage the authoring and integration pipeline for technical game data such as streaming, multiplayer, and persistence.
• Profile, review, and optimize game data and scripts.

What you bring

• Advocate for content creation development technology and solutions.
• 6+ years of experience in the video game industry in Technical Design or Technical Level Design.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as C++.
• Experience with visual scripting tools like Unreal Blueprint and Unity Bolt.
• Focus on optimization and performance (properties, functions, graphs, objects).
• Experience with technical writing and documentation.
• Strong skills in reverse engineering and debugging complex problems and systems.
• Organized, structured, thorough, and conscientious.
• Strong written and spoken proficiency in French and English.
