What you will be doing

SUMMARY :

  • The Senior Technical Advisor is responsible for designing, developing and implementing software solutions to address complex business issues within Innomar-Strategies.
  • System-to-system architecture and integration design are critical for most projects.
  • This role also provides expert technical leadership within the software development team, and manages the technical implementation with project team members.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Provide architectural blueprints and detailed system design specifications to serve as a guide for system / software development.
  • Collaborate with development team, business analysts and owners, quality assurance and end users to produce cutting-edge software solutions.
  • Collaborate with team members to determine best practices, and design road-map for future technology solutions.
  • Actively seek ways to improve business software processes and interactions.
  • Oversee and support the coaching and training of team members to ensure technical expertise with evolving technologies.
  • Develop, test, debug and document complex programs, and enhance existing programs to ensure that data processing production systems continue to meet user requirements.
  • Troubleshoot code-level problems and integration issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Interact with user management regarding project status and user requirements to promote an environment with improved productivity and satisfaction.
  • Assist in scheduling, and estimating costs to project completion in order to meet user requirements.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

What your background should look like

  • Requires post-secondary training and diploma in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Requires a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in .NET programming (C#, MVC, ASP.NET or Core) for desktop and web applications.
  • Ten (10) years’ experience in web technologies including HTML5, JQuery, React and / or Angular, JSON, XML and web services.
  • Experience using MS SQL Server databases (2008 R2, 2016+) including development of tables, stored procedures, views, triggers, and T-SQL queries. Extensive SSIS experience is required.
  • Experience with Visual Studio and TFS / Azure is required.
  • Thorough understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.
  • Recent experience with Agile / SCRUM methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work load and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Ability to use good judgment in conveying project status and problem escalation.
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail.
