About this role

Ever wonder what it takes to power a network? Technology, ingenuity, grit, and a steady input of snacks. As a member of our diverse Planning and Analytics team, you will manage analytics supporting our global network optimization initiatives.

Reporting into the Head of Delco Logistics Analytics, the Senior Team Lead, Network Optimization Analytics will oversee a team of up to three analysts responsible for understanding leading and lagging indicators of network performance, optimising efficiency through available tools, and influencing the future of logistics operations. You will be the main contact for our market and peer optimization teams, and together you will develop and execute optimization strategies that meet markets’ business objectives.

In addition to technical expertise, you will be a dedicated mentor to your team, guiding them to develop their skills and progress in all areas of their work. You will drive both operational and strategic objectives, and your mastery of SQL, Tableau, Google BigQuery, and Python will be critical to your success.

Location: Winnipeg/Toronto/Calgary

Reporting to: Head of Delco Logistics Analytics

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

• Provide thought leadership on network optimization tools and processes, developing strategies that balance the outcome for couriers, customers, and partners.

• Collaborate with markets to ensure alignment between optimization strategies and business objectives, and evolve payback model to maximize return on investment.

• Execute continuous optimization for key assignment algorithms, including but not limited to cost functions and courier-without-borders.

• Influence or lead the development of innovative tools and processes to evolve logistics as an optimization leader.

• Develop and own team objectives, roadmaps, and data strategies.

• Manage relationships with key stakeholders to continuously improve data-driven decision-making processes.

• Provide hands-on coaching and mentorship to your team, driving skill development and performance improvement.

What will you bring to the table?

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, with at least 1-2 years as a team lead or senior analyst.

• Strong expertise in SQL, Python, and Tableau with proven experience in data story telling, experimentation, and optimization.

• Strong problem-solving skills, and demonstrated experience in leveraging data to answer key business questions and influence decisions.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex analytic concepts and data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience in mentoring and coaching analytics teams, with a proven track record of developing talent.

• Experience working with logistics would be an asset.
