Job summary

BDO Canada LLP in Oakville is seeking a Senior Manager in our Canadian Tax practice. You will own responsibilities including evaluating client business processes, advising on tax policy changes, and developing proactive tax strategies to enhance business opportunities.

Qualifications

• CPA designation completed; In-Depth Tax Program and/or Masters in Tax.
• 7 years in public accounting with 3+ years in tax.
• Strong understanding of tax legislation, corporate, personal and trust tax planning and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate client business processes and policies and advise on tax policy and changes.
• Provide technical and project management leadership for Domestic Tax projects.
• Ensure quality control standards and review tax returns.
• Develop strategies for clients to capitalize on business and tax opportunities; prepare & review reorganizations.
• Train staff and invest in the professional development of the team.
• Build relationships with clients and support engagements; refer clients to other services lines.
