Position Overview

The Senior Tax Specialist will handle all aspects of domestic and international taxation, including sales tax, income tax, transfer pricing, and payroll taxes. This role reports to the Financial Controller at Race Roster and to leadership at ASICS Headquarters. Flexibility is key as we adapt to new business needs, strategies, and priorities.

Product Line

This role involves working with Race Roster, Runkeeper, and Njuko products.

Work Location

The successful candidate can be remote (within Canada), hybrid (within 75 km of London, ON), or based at our London, ON office.

Responsibilities

  1. Report to the Financial Controller on all tax-related matters.
  2. Prepare and file Canadian, US, and UK income tax returns, indirect tax returns, US 1099s, quarterly GST/HST returns, and coordinate transfer pricing updates.
  3. Calculate and document intercompany transfer pricing charges.
  4. Ensure tax compliance for customer receipts and internal platforms.
  5. Advise on international tax implications for corporate development.
  6. Maintain internal controls around tax compliance and software integration.
  7. Identify and scale tax resources as needed, with input from leadership.
  8. Handle voluntary disclosures with external counsel.
  9. Perform research, analysis, and other tasks as required.
  10. Continuously develop tax and finance knowledge.
  11. Participate in diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • 3+ years in a tax role.
  • Experience with domestic and international tax compliance and research.
  • Self-motivated, deadline-oriented, adaptable to change.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Accurate, detail-oriented, and comfortable in high-tech environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Bonus

  • CPA designation is an asset.
  • Relevant industry experience.

The successful candidate will join Race Roster North America Corporation (doing business as ASICS Apps Canada), a subsidiary of ASICS Corporation, founded in London, Ontario in 2011.
