Job Description:

Plan and assess potential tax planning strategies for small business clients

Draft memos and letters outlining the tax consequences associated with proposed

transactions

Provide mentorship and support to junior tax team members, currently in the In-Depth

Tax program, to ensure tasks are carried out thoroughly and accurately

Review reorganization and estate work performed by junior tax team members

Conduct tax research

Review corporate, personal, partnership and trust tax returns

Special tax work such as rollovers, estate freezes, SRED claims, etc.

Providing tax provision support to small businesses

Communication with the Canada Revenue Agency and clients

Completion of additional duties or assignments as required

Must-Have Qualifications:

Canadian CPA designation

Completion of CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course

Minimum of 7 years of small business accounting and tax experience

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Detail-oriented

Excellent documentation skills• Willingness to meet role-specific requirements, including potential travel.
