About Our Client
We are working with a leading global company in the digital services space, currently seeking a Tax Analyst or Senior Tax Analyst to support its Canadian operations. This is a fully remote role open to candidates located across Canada.
Job Description
- Act as the tax point of reference for all Canadian operations within the group, serving as the key contact for local tax matters with internal teams and headquarters;
- Manage and oversee tax compliance in Canada, with a strong focus on indirect taxes (GST/HST, QST), while also covering direct tax obligations and statutory filings;
- Monitor changes in Canadian tax legislation (particularly regarding indirect tax), and assess their operational, financial, and strategic impact on the business;
- Provide practical and business-oriented tax advice on operational, commercial, and product-related initiatives, ensuring both compliance and value creation;
- Play an active role in defining and implementing local tax policies, in alignment with the group's global tax strategy;
- Work closely with internal teams to support projects with tax implications;
- Support internal audits and external tax authority reviews, delivering accurate documentation and expert guidance;
- Contribute to the digitalization and continuous improvement of tax processes, with a focus on automation and operational efficiency;
- Take part in tax planning and optimization strategies, while ensuring full compliance with Canadian tax regulations.

The Successful Applicant
- Minimum 4 years of experience in tax advisory or in-house tax, ideally within a tech or platform-based environment
- Strong technical knowledge of Canadian tax issues, particularly indirect tax
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate tax matters clearly across teams
- CPA designation or equivalent is considered an asset
