Job description

Smythe LLP is seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented Senior Tax Analyst with solid tax experience to join our growing practice in our downtown Vancouver office.

The Opportunity

As part of our 20-member Tax Group, you will work directly with clients, managers, and partners to deliver tax and advisory services as a general practitioner. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two to three years of experience in public practice as a Senior Tax Analyst.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review personal, trust, partnership, and corporate tax returns.
  • Perform tax research and prepare technical memos and letters.
  • Assist clients with CRA audits and disputes.
  • Provide exceptional service to our clients.
  • Develop and apply technical skills by staying up-to-date on new tax legislation and case law.
  • Participate in and contribute to the achievement of team objectives.

Requirements

  • Professional accounting designation with experience in Canadian tax.
  • Proven abilities in personal and corporate tax compliance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both in teams and individually.
  • A desire to learn and adapt in a challenging environment.
