Qualifications

Senior Tax Analyst (U.S. Focus) – Montreal, QC

We are committed to excellence, sustainability, and the growth of our employees. We're currently looking for a Senior Tax Analyst to join our dynamic Tax team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional with solid U.S. indirect tax experience to contribute to a high-performing, collaborative environment — all from our Montreal office ( Hybrid 3 days office, 2 days remote ).

What You’ll Do :

As a Senior Tax Analyst , you will work closely with the Senior Manager, Indirect Taxation, ensuring compliance with U.S. Sales and Use Taxes and Canadian GST / HST / PST for our North American operations. You’ll be a key player in maintaining accurate tax filings, supporting audits, and driving improvements in our tax compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and review U.S. Sales / Use and Canadian indirect tax returns.
  • Reconcile indirect tax general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries as needed.
  • Analyze tax notices, communicate with tax authorities, and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Conduct data analysis and research to ensure compliance with evolving tax regulations.
  • Assist with government audits and tax authority reviews.
  • Support the implementation of new tax technologies and process improvements.
  • Stay up to date on U.S. and Canadian indirect tax legislation and changes.

What You Bring :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a CPA designation .
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in indirect / commodity taxes, with a strong focus on U.S. Sales and Use Tax .
  • Bilingual in English and French .
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and experience with SAP .
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
  • Must be based in Montreal, Quebec .
