An established global organization is seeking a Senior Tax Accounting Professional to support a wide array of corporate tax activities across multiple jurisdictions. This role involves hands-on work in areas such as compliance, forecasting, reporting, and audit support, as well as opportunities to contribute to tax planning and process enhancements. The ideal candidate will bring a balanced mix of technical expertise and practical experience, along with strong organizational and analytical capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation and review of periodic income tax provisions, including deferred tax calculations and reconciliations.
- Prepare and assist with U.S. federal, state, and international tax filings, including estimated tax payments.
- Compile and analyze state apportionment data and related tax documentation.
- Assist in the coordination and oversight of global tax compliance and reporting.
- Maintain compliance software and ensure accurate mapping of tax accounts.
- Participate in corporate tax forecasting, cash tax analysis, and internal reporting.
- Manage monthly reconciliations of tax-related accounts.
- Liaise with external advisors and internal stakeholders on strategic tax matters.
- Support process improvements within the tax function, especially in areas involving technology and automation.
- Provide assistance during tax audits and manage supporting documentation for refund claims.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing indirect tax filings (e.g., sales/use, VAT, GST).
- Contribute to transfer pricing documentation, intercompany transactions, and related entries.
- Maintain compliance with global tax information reporting standards and documentation requirements.
- Prepare schedules and analysis for fixed asset reporting and intercompany activity.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with finance, treasury, operations, and external consultants as needed.
- Collaborate with internal audit and financial planning teams on tax-related initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (advanced degree a plus)
- CPA certification preferred
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in corporate and/or public accounting
- Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and corporate tax regulations
- Experience with global and domestic income tax compliance
- Exposure to audit processes and tax authority inquiries
- Strong research skills and a detail-oriented mindset
- Proficiency in Excel and tax compliance systems (CorpTax experience a plus)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and projects effectively
