Job summary

Flatiron Construction is seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead recruitment initiatives in our Canadian operations. You will partner with HR, business leaders, and the TA team to attract top talent, build pipelines, and deliver a seamless candidate experience throughout the hiring process.

You will source passively, manage end-to-end interviewing, coordinate offers, and ensure compliance with industry standards within our construction-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 8+ years’ experience in Talent Acquisition required.
• Agency recruiting experience preferred.
• Technical recruiting experience strongly preferred.
• Strong construction industry knowledge preferred.
• Strong technical recruiting knowledge and skills required.
• Strong networking skills required.
• Significant experience influencing leaders across various departments.
• Takes initiative to learn Company industry, competitors and innovative talent attraction strategies.
• Comprehensive understanding of OFFCP compliance requirements.

Your will deliver a seamless and positive experience for candidates at every stage of the hiring process.

What you will be doing

• Works closely with business to identify talent needs and source top talent for business objectives. Uses passive candidate engagement tactics to source top talent and creates a talent pipeline for business to utilize for future needs.
• Understands role specifications and successful candidate qualifications before posting each position to ensure sourcing efforts align with business objectives.
• Sources candidates for current and future opportunities using various tools, networks and methodologies. Prescreens candidate resumes to identify top talent for the identified business needs and submits recommendations to hiring management team for their consideration.
• Owns the full candidate experience from first contact to offer letter acceptance. Oversees interview scheduling, hiring manager feedback, offer letter creation and verbal offer discussions. Supports Human Resources with pre-employment testing and first day preparation, as needed.
• Communicates clear expectations to all candidates and business leaders regarding Company process, approvals, and timeline. Maintains clear communication with candidates and business leaders to ensure all parties understand the status of each posting in a timely and compliant manner.
• Supports the Talent Acquisition team with social media, marketing, and employer branding initiatives.

What we are looking for
