Job summary
Suncor Energy Inc. in Fort McMurray area seeks a Senior Electrical Advisor, Transmission and Distribution, to lead the safe, reliable operation of critical high‑voltage transmission and distribution assets that power our energy businesses.
You will guide teams through outages and emergent events while supporting maintenance, commissioning and system reliability across complex industrial power systems. If you excel at leading people, solving complex challenges, and driving operational excellence,
Qualifications
- Minimum five years in electrical operations or industrial power systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with high-voltage switching, isolation, grounding and protection.
- Strong knowledge of LOTO and electrical safety practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of 13.8 kV to 260 kV transmission and distribution assets.
- Provide leadership during emergent events including outages and equipment failures.
- Support maintenance, commissioning, and startup activities across complex power systems.
- Oversee contractor management, safety performance, and service delivery.
