Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 3+ years in DevOps/Systems Engineering building and running large-scale web applications.
• AWS Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) certified.
• Experience with automation or infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Python, CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, and AWS VPC foundations; AWS security and traffic control; and hybrid connectivity.
• Strong problem-solving with metrics, monitoring, and root-cause analysis to improve service reliability.

We’re looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to lead the design, implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of business-critical systems and infrastructure that enable STEMCELL’s employees and customers. In this role, you will bring strong experience with scalable, high-volume cloud environments to build secure, reliable, and self-service solutions that make it easier for our teams to access the best data, tools, and capabilities they need to do their best work. Duties and Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain cloud-based applications, tools and services on AWS supporting STEMCELL’s staff and customers. Own the end-to-end lifecycle of your tools and services, including responding to and debugging production issues across different cloud services, and taking proactive action to prevent future problems. Embed into corporate technology and project teams as a subject matter expert to design, deliver and maintain new systems or applications. Partner with other technology teams to develop and improve design and operating best-practices; Explore and advocate for new methods and technologies. Respond to emergencies and system failures including after-hours problems; lead troubleshooting and resolution of escalated issues.

Knowledge and Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent, plus 3+ years in DevOps/Systems Engineering building and running one or more large-scale web applications. AWS Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) certified with hands-on expertise in systems administration and operations, including fluency across a number of infrastructure technologies including AWS, GCP, Active Directory, and Entra. Exposure or experience to automation or infrastructure-as-code technologies (Terraform, Python, CloudFormation) and an understanding of fundamental networking concepts DNS, DHCP, AWS VPC foundations, AWS security and traffic control, AWS scaling and hybrid connectivity. Excellent full-stack problem-solving skills, utilizing metrics, monitoring, and reporting to drive root-cause resolution and service reliability.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this job ranges from: $94,600.00 - $142,000.00. STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits, retirement savings, and more.
