Job summary

DIRTT Environmental Solutions, Ltd. is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to own core infrastructure: compute (VMware/Hyper‑V), storage (NetApp ONTAP), and identity (AD/Entra ID). This role spans on‑premises and cloud, providing design, reliability, security, and lifecycle ownership across corporate and manufacturing environments.

You will mentor staff, document changes, and collaborate with cybersecurity, applications, and vendors while supporting hybrid networking and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive systems administration experience in an enterprise Windows environment, incl. 3+ years in lead role.
• Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise compute environments using VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or AWS.

Responsibilities

• Own design, build, and operation of on-prem virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V).
• Administer virtualization tooling (vCenter, SCVMM) for VM provisioning and fabric management.
• Build and operate AWS compute (EC2) within the company’s landing zone.
• Manage server hardware, firmware, and boot-from-SAN config.
• Plan capacity, track utilization and growth across on‑prem and cloud.
• Lead workload migrations and retire legacy infrastructure.
• Own NetApp ONTAP: aggregates, SVMs, volumes, LUNs, SMB/NFS.
