Job Description

You are forward thinking and can provide technical leadership in data analysis, design, development, configuration and support services related to the inception, elaboration, construction and transition of a diverse range of IT solutions.

You have:

  • A minimum of 5 years progressively responsible systems development experience and advanced knowledge of
    • Computer science concepts including programming patterns, data structure and algorithms
    • SQL, functions, and regular expressions for any relational database
    • Implementing software engineering best practice, such as continuous integration/continuous delivery, version control, documentation, and automated testing
    • Application design using software design patterns, web services, and messaging technologies
  • At least 2 years of experience in a senior development capacity, analyzing, designing and developing/configuring applications utilizing one or more of the following technologies:
    • Python, Groovy, (+ for PostgreSQL, Amazon Web Services - Lambda functions and Elastic Search, Kubernetes), Drools rule engine
    • JavaScript, REACT, TypeScript, HTML and CSS, and RESTful APIs, JSON
  • Demonstrated experience translating business requirements into IT solutions
  • Experience with writing database stored procedures using PLSQL
  • Experience with analyzing data from RESTful APIs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical people


Nice to have:

  • Certification earned or in progress in the above technologies
  • Experience working with nested data structures in JSON and JSON Schema, including the ability to analyze and interpret these structures effectively
  • Ability to analyze data and their patterns to capture consistency and integrity
  • Ability le to test a rule script through a test API call


What you will do:

  • Design protocols to validate data integrity and consistency to meet business/client needs
  • Take a lead role in the analysis data issues during the application development process and life cycle
  • Create prototypes or proof-of-concept efforts, ensuring quality attributes (performance, scalability, extensibility) are met
  • Lead troubleshooting, diagnosis and solution recommendations for reported data incidents/problems based on script execution log or API response and carry out the technical activities associated with the deployment of the fixes
  • Provide senior level technical advice and expertise regarding data requirements
  • Coach and mentor junior staff
  • Research technology, systems and products, recommending tools, techniques, standards and performance criteria ensuring compliance the Enterprise Architecture
