Under the direction of the Manager, Network Services, the Senior Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, and deploying Technology Systems for the Ontario Health atHome Champlain Region. The Senior Systems Analyst manages the maintenance of Champlain’s LAN and WAN, as well as administering a Windows Server network.

What will you do?

  1. Maintain all corporate Windows servers, routers, switches, and other network peripherals.
  2. Perform server upgrades and changes.
  3. Support core network infrastructure and remote offices (LAN / WAN / AP).
  4. Coordinate and implement special projects assigned by the Manager of Network Services.
  5. Implement LAN and WAN security measures.
  6. Analyze system backups and recovery processes.
  7. Implement security, network access policies, and procedures, including Cyber Security Safeguards.
  8. Perform daily backups and periodic cleanup of disk space.
  9. Maintain connections to remote offices, ISP, C3.
  10. Monitor system performance, develop contingency plans, and implement disaster recovery strategies.
  11. Provide coverage for Help Line Technicians as needed.
  12. Maintain system documentation.
  13. Assist and provide technical advice to help line technicians, acting as a resource for specialized technical matters.
  14. Provide coverage for the Manager of Network Services.

Hours of work : Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

FTE : 1.0

Starting Salary : $43.172/hr

What must you have?

  • Three-year post-secondary computer science degree.
  • MCSE certification for MCSE Core Infrastructure or equivalent, with a combination of experience and education.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in a customer-focused professional environment.
  • Other relevant combinations of education and experience deemed acceptable.
  • Working knowledge of technologies and applications including Microsoft Windows Active Directory, Exchange, Terminal Server, SQL, Hyper-V, DFS, CSVs, and DR features like High Availability for SQL.
  • Knowledge of File Server management.
  • Knowledge of Print Server management / Papercut.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Internet Information Server.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of Windows 10 / 11.
  • Knowledge of backup solutions such as Commvault.
  • Knowledge of Windows Defender Endpoint VPN technology.
  • Knowledge of switches, routers, and access points.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Network printing and printing services.
  • Driving license required for travel to other locations, with consideration for adverse weather conditions.
