Job Summary:

The Senior Technical Architect role is responsible for:

• Ensuring CSA Group’s enterprise systems, services and technology solutions are built, implemented and maintained for high availability, scalability, security, integrity, and supportability.
• Identifying gaps and driving solutions for critical systems, services and technologies.
• Having advanced technical knowledge and a wide range of understanding in new and emerging IT technologies.
• Providing recommendations on new technologies and solutions, in support of business direction to meet either revenue growth, profitability targets, operational efficiencies, or to manage risk.

Understanding the Business

• Deep subject matter expertise of CSA Group’s systems, services and technologies.
• Strong understanding of entire CSA Group IT architectural or technical landscape, including integrations and interdependencies.
• Strong understanding of business requirements and implementing IT Projects for Global strategic solutions (either application or infrastructure related).
• Participating in architecting solutions using industry standard concepts.
• Managing solution design based on detailed business requirements.
• Preparing technical specifications and documents that effectively translate requirements into IT tasks to deliver acceptable business solutions.
• Providing recommendations on emerging technologies and assisting in planning roadmaps to support new technology.
• Establishing development guidelines based on industry best practice.
• Consuming services provided by third party vendors.
• Protecting CSA Group’s information assets.

Working Well with Others

• Supporting core IT and/or Business Leaders through communication and solution design for all IT projects.
• Providing technical guidance and consultation to project and IT team members.
• Leading and facilitating technical discussions, or process improvement teams, participating in design sessions, and transforming requirements into IT solutions.
• Communicating expectations well to other team members.
• Mentoring and coaching other IT employees, supporting professional growth.

Delivering Results

• Providing design, configuration, testing, deployment, management and monitoring of critical infrastructure, systems and services, for projects or upgrades, on a global scale.
• Applying troubleshooting, prioritization and coordination skills to assign and resolve escalated issues.
• Seeking, recommending and implementing process improvement opportunities.
• Managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications:

• University Degree in Computer Science or Software/Computer Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in related technologies.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 (including hybrid) services, design, topology, and products including but not limited to: Exchange SharePoint online, Skype for Business, and OneDrive.
• Experience with MS Entra ID, MS Sentinel, MS Purview, MS Defender preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Deployments, Environment & Services (IAAS, PAAS, Virtual Machines, Active Directory, Automation, Monitor, OMS) highly preferred.
• Experience with any of the following considered an asset: Darktrace, Netskope, Rapid 7, Snyk, Cloudflare.
• Experience in the design and automation of Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service capabilities including virtual networks, virtual machines, cloud services, web sites, and data services.
• Desire to learn and become familiar with new technologies; assimilate knowledge quickly and effectively.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
