Job Description :Our client in Edmonton, AB is urgently looking for a Senior Systems Analyst.

Must Have Primary Skills :

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering
2. 8-10 years of related experience, with a minimum of 8 years in server support and 5 years in a key server support role.
3. Availability for on-call after hours work.
4. Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 75 pounds.

Nice To Have Secondary Skills :

1. Previous network experience preferred.
2. Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, Microsoft Server 2016-present, SharePoint Server, and SQL Server.
3. Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
4. Ability to take initiative and work well within a team environment.

Proven Experience In :

1. Monitoring server health, troubleshooting issues, and implementing security protocols to protect against unauthorized access and vulnerabilities.
2. Performing daily checks of server performance, backup processes, data extracts, scripts, and performance improvements.
3. Responding to after-hours server issues.
4. Documenting server configurations and performance benchmarks.
5. Leading administration of Microsoft 365 online environment (Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Office, etc.).
6. Leading SharePoint and SQL Server administration of on-site systems.
7. Setting up new server hardware, updates, and patching.
8. Managing Active Directory and related systems.
9. Advising management on new systems or modifications.
10. Configuring and managing cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure.
11. Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting networking infrastructure.
12. Managing security systems like firewalls, EDR, and IDS.
13. Configuring identity and access management solutions, including MFA and SSO.
14. Researching new technologies and reviewing processes for continuous improvement.
15. Performing other duties as required.
