Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a System Designer for our OSS Team, dedicated to key applications that enable our technology teams to interact with network devices. The Operations Support Systems (OSS) team focuses on applications that facilitate network device management. We collaborate across Rogers to develop automated processes and systems essential for our network's success. As a System Designer, you will own the administration and maintenance of provisioning, mediation, and billing systems in a dynamic environment.

What You Will Do

• Support, configure, maintain, and upgrade provisioning, mediation, and billing systems.
• Investigate logs and debug code to resolve issues.
• Drive system improvements for reliability and maintainability, providing expert insights during solution design.
• Automate workflows and streamline processes using scripting capabilities.
• Compare vendor systems to determine the best solutions, always considering customer needs.

• Participation in rotational on-call schedules.
• Experience with Red Hat Linux/Unix system administration is a plus.
• Knowledge of SOAP UI, IP Technology, bash/shell scripting.
• Achievement in project delivery.
• Understanding of telecommunication networks.
• Knowledge of ITIL framework and IT service management tools like Remedy, ServiceNow, Jira/Confluence is beneficial.
• Experience with Ericsson platforms and over-the-air platforms like G&D, Idemia, Thales is advantageous.
• Willingness to learn cloud services, microservices, containerization, Kubernetes, Kafka, Apache Spark.
• Educational background in computer science or related experience.
