- Provides systems administration and systems operations support, including setting up user access, user profiles, backup and recovery, day-to-day computer systems operations.
- Perform software upgrades, apply patches, and provide customer interface to ensure requested changes are implemented, monitor computer workload trends and make adjustments to ensure optimum utilization of computer resources.
- Upkeep, configure, install and support the clients, network and coordinate the various systems.
- Implementation and administrative experience on Microsoft SCOM 2022 version.
- Perform administrative tasks on the System Center Operation Manager console.
- Perform migration and version upgrade for SCOM Management Server, Gateway Server and SCOM agents.
- Perform integration with OpenText Operation Bridge for Event, topology and metrices exchange.
- Develop Microsoft Windows PowerShell scripting engine to automate tasks with SCOM.
- Deploy SNMP and agent-based monitoring for servers and network devices.
- Develop custom management packs , custom policy, and rules to manage out of box monitoring.
- Provide application support for the SCOM platform and create and maintain monitoring and notification rules.
- Review and update SCOM console security, apply patches, create SCOM console roles and reviews, and create and install custom Management Packs (MP) as needed.
- Deliver SCOM views via Remote Desktop Web Access, create custom reports on results of SCOM monitoring, use SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). technologies, and provide problem resolution for SCOM components and related custom scripts.
- Perform day to day troubleshooting, agent issues, alert acknowledgment, event log analysis, network issues, script update, and maintenance activities on SCOM tool.
Must Haves :
- 3-5 years’ experience in SCOM, Active Directory, Infrastructure and monitoring tool.
General Skills :
- Experience at the specified experience level setting up user access and user profiles, backup and recovery, and day-to-day computer systems operations.
- Experience with one or more operating systems, hardware platforms and communications protocols.
- Experience with information retrieval packages, middleware and gateways.
- A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines with excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Possesses experience in server and active directory administration.
- Knowledge of backup, restoration and archival processes (Azure Backup skill is an asset).
- Has exposure to other monitoring solutions like OpsBridge, Grafana.
- Experience with Ansible Tower, Terraform or other automation platforms is nice to have.
