PrismRBS is seeking a Senior System Administrator to provide technical support for hosted and self-hosted client application environments and internal server and networking environments. The successful candidate will investigate, manage, track and close client and internal technical support issues, specifically related to keeping server operating environments running and applications available for end user access. They will also be responsible for contributing to a knowledge base and supporting user forums. You must have the ability to multi-task and see issues through to resolution. You will serve as primary support liaison between company and customer.
In this role, you will report to the Director of Technical Services and will be supported by a great team, in providing exceptional customer service and development support.
The position will be located in a Harris office in Ottawa, Ontario. Some travel may be required.
What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Architect, deploy, configure and support infrastructure cloud resources on Azure, AWS and other public clouds for high availability, performance and security
- Assist in migrating products from on-premise to cloud
- Implement security measures to protect cloud infrastructure
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet
- Optimize resource utilization and cost efficiency
- General systems administration duties involving installation, configuration, maintenance of infrastructure including system audits, backups and patch management
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 5+ years in a System/Cloud Administrator role
- Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS preferred)
- Knowledge of networking concepts and technologies
- Working knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Proven hands-on experience with cloud platforms
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Certifications from top cloud providers
