Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Senior Manager, Sustainability to advance the Securing the Future of Food strategy across Canada in a fully remote role.

You will lead market-level strategy, program development, and cross-functional execution with merchandising, operations, technology, and marketing to scale the One Planet, One Table initiative and engage suppliers while delivering measurable environmental and business impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in sustainability strategy, program management, or related roles, ideally within foodservice or consumer goods.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian sustainability regulations.
• Proven ability to lead complex initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sustainability plans for the Canadian market that align with Sysco’s global strategic framework and local regulatory requirements.
• Grow the One Planet, One Table sustainable assortment in Canada, partnering with merchandising, technology, marketing, and other cross-functional teams.
• Lead Sysco Canada’s Emerging Supplier Program with an initial focus on indigenous vendors through the Pathways to Procurement initiative.
• Provide strategic guidance and leadership to support local and national sales teams with sustainability collateral, RFP responses, and targeted strategies for key customers.
• Establish processes for tracking market-specific sustainability initiatives, analyzing impact, and reporting results to leadership.
