Van Bower Construction Services is seeking a Senior Surveyor for field survey activities for vertical/build, commercial, industrial, and civil construction projects. This role includes mentoring junior surveyors, managing advanced 3D scanning technologies, and ensuring the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities

• Field Leadership: Serve as the lead surveyor on multiple job sites, managing and directing all field survey activities for vertical/build, commercial, industrial, and civil construction projects.
• Training and Mentoring: Develop and mentor junior surveyors and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
• Survey Management: Work with management to oversee and coordinate all field survey activities, ensuring adherence to industry standards and company policies.
• 3D Scanning: Utilize advanced 3D scanning technologies for engineering surveys, providing high-precision data for construction and engineering applications.
• Equipment Management: Ensure the proper use and maintenance of survey equipment, including GPS, Total Stations, and advanced 3D scanning technologies.
• Client Liaison: Act as the primary field contact for clients, stakeholders, and contractors, ensuring effective communication and project satisfaction.
• Technical Expertise: Utilize advanced survey techniques and software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Trimble Access) for data processing and project deliverables.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in field surveying, with a strong background in construction survey services, including high-rise, commercial, industrial, and civil construction projects.
• Education: Diploma or degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Professional registration (e.g., P.Eng, ASTTBC) is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble GPS, Total Stations, and 3D scanning technologies.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Project Management: Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and multitasking.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Safety: Comprehensive knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in the construction and surveying industry.
