Job summary

Banner Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming, is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join a high-functioning OR team. The role involves assisting during surgeries, preparing instruments, and maintaining aseptic conditions to support optimal patient outcomes.

This is a full-time position with a varied shift schedule (7:00am–7:00pm and 7:00pm–7:30am). A current BLS certification and graduation from a surgical technology program are required to ensure readiness for emergent cases and teamwork in

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED and current BLS certification.
Where applicable must be registered with State Regulatory Agency.
Graduation from a certified school of surgical technology or two years of operating room experience.

Responsibilities

Prepares for surgical procedures with correct instruments and supplies.
Anticipates the surgeon's needs and passes instruments.
Maintains aseptic technique and universal precautions throughout the procedure.
Ensures surgeon preference cards and pick lists are accurate.
Assists with OR turnover, stocking, replenishing supplies, and cleaning operating rooms.
May provide business support to the department including administrative tasks.
Participates in or leads training and orientation of surgical technology staff and students.
