Job summary

Banner Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. This role supports surgeons by preparing instruments, maintaining sterile technique, and passing supplies during procedures in a fast-paced environment.

The position offers a part-time, varied shift (20 hours/week), with emphasis on teamwork, patient safety, and adherence to aseptic standards; BLS is required, and experience or training in surgical tech is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; BLS certification required.
• Graduate of a certified surgical technology program or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated aseptic technique and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for surgical procedures; pulls instruments and supplies.
• Passes instruments and retracts tissue during operations.
• Maintains aseptic technique and assists with turnover between cases.
• Ensures accurate surgeon preference cards and supply availability.
• May provide departmental administrative support and training.
