Job summary

Strathcona Resources Ltd. in Calgary is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Analyst to support the Capital Projects and Facilities teams. You will lead sourcing, negotiate commercial terms, and manage procurement services for large EPC packages.

You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, ensure contract clarity, and mentor junior staff while aligning SCM strategy with business priorities in a dynamic oil & gas environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years minimum Supply Chain experience in Oil & Gas industry.
• Experience supporting Capital Projects & Construction environments is required.
• Experience with EPC procurement and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing initiatives (RFx), proposal evaluations and commercial negotiations.
• Expedite and administer contracts for procured materials, goods and services.
• Draft, negotiate and manage complex commercial agreements with clear terms and change mechanisms.
• Issue and manage large multi-discipline RFPs, POs and change orders.
• Monitor contractor compliance using vendor management tools and reports.
• Mentor junior and intermediate supply chain analysts.

Be part of a team where performance, collaboration, and innovation come together to drive success.Strathcona Resources is actively seeking an experienced Supply Chain Analyst to join our Supply Chain team at our Calgary office.Reporting to the Team Lead, Supply Chain Capital, the Senior Supply Chain Analyst will perform the day-to-day Supply Chain activities to support the Strathcona Project & Facilities program.The successful candidate will:Provide Supply Chain and procurement support for the Strathcona Capital program with focus on Project and Facilities & Construction assets.Lead sourcing initiatives (RFx) development, proposal evaluations and commercial negotiations to achieve the best overall value for Strathcona while meeting business, legal and regulatory requirements.Leverage buying power to negotiate contracts, and achieve preferred pricingPerform routine expediting and contract administration for all procured materials, goods, and services, as required.Liaise with all disciplines on progress and schedule related to contracts.Review project progress and act when required to rectify issues that arise.Development and maintenance of procurement plans.Contributions to Weekly/Monthly reports.Assist in the coordination and alignment of teams across disciplines and projects to ensure corporate consistency.Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to align SCM strategies with business priorities.Draft, negotiate and manage complex commercial agreements, ensuring clarity on commercial terms, deliverables, change order mechanisms and warranty obligations.Issue and manage large multidiscipline RFP packages such and Mechanical & E&I Construction Services.Creation and management of service orders, purchase orders and change orders.Oversee and support all procurement processes executed through designated EPC contractors.Monitor contractor compliance using vendor management tools (e.g. Complyworks)Support professional growth of junior and intermediate supply chain analysts through mentorship and coachingSupport various other Supply Chain related projects within the organization.Skills and Qualifications:Experience supporting internal stakeholders within Capital Projects and Construction environments.Strong ability to influence, negotiate and gain alignment with a variety of stakeholders, including senior leadership.Demonstrated experience developing and managing complex contracts and commercial models, with the ability to identify and address key legal and commercial issues.10 - years minimum Supply Chain experience of Oil and Gas industry experience.Completion or enrollment in SCMP program is a plus.Working knowledge of Oil and Gas Upstream Operations.Experience dealing with Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC).Proficient and adaptable in ERP systems: possessing advanced computer knowledge and professional competence related to work functions in Maximo, AFE Navigator, Aucerna Execute, Wellview, OpenInvoice, Obyte, MS Applications and Complyworks.Great things aren’t done by one person, they’re done by a team.We believe meaningful results come from people with unwavering commitment to integrity, energy, and intelligence – how we show up matters just as much as what we deliver.
